The French brand Archos has unveiled a new range of touch tablets called Archos Platinum.
Named Platinum, this line of touchpads comes in three references 80 Platinum, 97 Platinum HD and 116 Platinum, which differ in their screen, with a size of 8 inches 1024 x 768 pixels for the first, a 9.7-inch and 2048 x 1536 pixels for the second screen and a 11.6-inch 1920 x 1080 pixels for the third.
For the rest of hardware Archos Platinum characteristics, they share a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, 2 GB RAM, graphic part eight cores, an audio system with two speakers, 8 GB flash memory, MicroSD/MicroSDHC/microSDXC slot, wireless network connection 802.11n Wi-Fi, a 2 megapixel camera sensor at the back, front webcam + microphone – unspecified quality – and USB 2.0/Micro-USB 2.0/HDMI/mini-jack.
When it comes to operating system that will be running under Archos Platinum tablets, it will be Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
The 8 and 9.7-inch Archos Platinum tablets will be available by the end of the month (February) with prices of 199 and 269 euros, while the 11.6-inch version will be available at the end April, with price of 349 euros.
