Sony unveils two new Walkman

Sony comes to formalize two new models of Walkman belonging to the E series Devices that focus on music playback and significant autonomy.

[adsense] A lot of other companies are offering new media players or smartphones focused on music and the Sony is one of those companies and decide not to leave this market. His Walman E380 and E580 are the proof.

Available in two colors and two sizes, the E380 has a small screen of 1.77 inches, which gives it a compact design. It has a range of listening to 30 hours, an FM tuner and comes with the Clear Bass and Clear Stereo technology from Sony – and as the name suggests they are focused on the bass response and optimization of separation left and right channels, mainly commercial arguments. We note in passing that, as the E580, the E380 plays FLAC files a first for the Walkman range and will be available in capacities of 4 GB and 8 GB .

For its part, the E580 is a bit more ambitious with its 2-inch screen and a battery life of 77 hours listening. This Walkman also plays FLAC files into MP3, WMA or DRM or videos in MPEG4 or H.264. It charges fully in four hours, and will be available in 16 GB version.

Both models will be available in August on the European market: the NWZ-E383 with a capacity of 4 GB, will only be available in black for a suggested retail price of 75 euros. The NWZ-E384, with a capacity of 8 GB, is meanwhile available in black, blue or red for 90 euros. Finally, the NWZ-E585 model will be available in black and 16GB version for about 140 euros.
