Sony Xperia S: Developer and Drivers To Support the Project AOSP

As many of you are already familiar with, JBQ (Jean-Baptiste Queru), Technical Lead for the Android Open-Source Project (AOSP) at Google, recently started an open source project to build a vanilla Android version for Xperia S.

SONY says on his blog that these files are, for example, the drivers necessary for the proper operation of the equipment are available for download in its space dedicated to developers. Some are provided by Qualcomm, a specific license will still accept. The specific brand will now be an engineer to monitor and assist the project.

The manufacturer adds that “there is still a lot of work, but we think it is good to see this project evolve, even if we are not sure it will ever be completed and sufficiently stable for everyday use.” In addition, SONY thank the developer community and especially the CyanogenMod team that participates actively in the project and its development.

If you are interested, just go here and accept the license agreement to download the published files. You can follow the progress of the project from this page.
