Future Sony devices will feature Triluminos screens?

The latest version of Sony smartphone, the Xperia Z, launched at CES 2013 in Las Vegas, was not accepted good around the world and had low number of sales. Unfortunately, because of the huge competition and hardware problems other devices had, the Japanese company seems to have been made out of the fight for the best smartphone of this 2013.

The main reason why Xperia Z didnt passed good among users seems to have been primarily because of TFT LCD display with Full HD resolution 5-inch, as it shows a poor contrast of colors and poor viewing angles.

For these reasons, it seems that Sony wants to bring the display Triluminos on future Xperia series devices. This display would be equipped with a technology able to use quantum dots to improve the backlight LED of RGB panels. According to reports of TechPinas, but also the section of Sony Filipina has confirmed this intention, as is evident in an explanatory panel of BT Shop (visible at the bottom), which shows the various products that will use Triluminos: TV, laptops, projectors and smartphone.
