Samsung Galaxy S III Alpha: a More Powerful Version of the S III

Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini is currently the center of attention, but the South Korean also released a new version of its Galaxy S III with the Alpha model.

Simply put, it retains exactly the same appearance as the current Galaxy S III. However, it is more powerful than its predecessor and closer to that of the Galaxy Note II in terms of technical specifications.

Galaxy S III Alpha retains the SoC Exynos 4412 integrates four cores. But the processor is clocked at 1.6 GHz against 1.4 GHz in the Galaxy S III. It also loads twice as much memory than S III: 2 GB (like the Galaxy Note II), only the LTE version of the S III had 2 GB of RAM (but SoC Qualcomm with dual-core CPU). Jelly Bean Android operating system will be installed automatically. Moreover, it will be compatible with 4G LTE.

Its price and availability date have not yet been announced. In a first time, it will be offered in Japan with the incumbent mobile operator NTT DoCoMo. Hopefully it will be available on other markets too.
