LG and Google have sold less than 400,000 of Nexus 4

A survey has created by community of users in attempt to derive estimates of production for the Nexus 4 from LG and Google. The two companies have manufactured and sold under 400,000 between October and December.

One of XDA-Developers community forum members explained how to identify the production date and place based on the serial number, found on the Nexus 4 package box. Nexus 4, have its IMEI number. Simply visit the LG site, enter the number on a specific page to retrieve a string.

Following these explanations of the owners of Nexus 4 shared information that has been compiled to obtain estimates of production. According to the XDA community, LG have produced approximately 70,000 device in October, 90,000 in November and 210,000 in December. Limited quantities but the evolution altogether consistent. LG and Google have clearly had to react in December to satisfy the thousands of buyers still waiting for their smartphone after several weeks.

Neither LG nor Google have to comment on these figures. In December, an official Google UK apologized to buyers because of long time delivery.
