Dell finally drop prices for its Windows tablet, the XPS 10, and brought us the cheapest tablet on the market, which stands in line with Android tablets.
On Wednesday, the sale price of the Dell XPS 10 has fallen in the United States: it dropped to $300, a decrease of 33% compared to the previous price of $450, and 40% compared to the launch price of $500, which is sold price Microsoft Surface. With keyboard-dock, it is now sold for 400 dollars.
The XPS 10 is thus the cheapest Windows RT tablet on the market. It becomes especially competitive with Android tablets comparable to ARM processor and 10-inch screen, such as the Asus Memo Pad Smart sold at the same price.
Confined to the applications Modern UI of Windows Store, Windows RT tablets are broadly the same uses as other tablets. We must believe that the integration of Microsoft Office 2013 does not justify such a price difference to consumers.
Dell has not passed the lower prices in other countries, so if you live outside U.S. and you are planning to buy new Windows 8 tablet, we suggest you to wait a little bit more since we believe these prices may drop a bit more as reaction from other manufactures.
