After iPhone and Windows Mobile Microsoft have decided to officially lunch the SkyDrive app for Android devices which will competed with some other similar services that already exist on Android devices.
There are many services in the cloud synchronization such as Dropbox, Google Drive, Box, SugarSync… and among them we have the alternative from Microsoft that many of you allready know: SkyDrive. And now the service has undergone some improvements, both in its web and mobile, but so far there was no option to use SkyDrive in Android, except for some unofficial applications.
But that will end soon, as they have decided that after iOS and Windows Phone jump into Android afterwards and launch an official app that will allow us to use the Microsoft service from our Android device. This decision should be, according to them, to get to any Windows user, no matter which operating system you are using on your devices.
The application will be similar to those of other platforms, and based on screenshots that were provided by Microsoft we can see that the style is quite simple and intuitive to the user. We can use SkyDrive app for Android to browse our Skydrive files, upload files and share them over other applications. The launch is planned in a few weeks, when it will be released in Google Play.
