Google Voice Search is Updated with Support for 13 Languages

In the last Google I/O, Google announced a whole new version of Google Voice Search which much resembled the typical Siri to search we’ve had so far. However, this new version is only available on Jelly Bean, so all we’ll have to wait. This does not mean that you do not have Voice Search on lower Android versions such as ICS version.

However, those who have previous versions of Android (before Jelly Bean) will still get support and bug fixes. One of those updates happend yesterday when Google updated Voice Search and add 13 new languages to further expand Android. These languages are:

  • Basque
  • Bulgarian
  • Catalan
  • European Portuguese
  • Finnish
  • Galician
  • Hungarian
  • Icelandic
  • Norwegian
  • Romanian
  • Serbian
  • Slovak
  • Swedish

Good news for all Android users, that shows that Google does not want to leave any of their products limping no matter if they work on older or newer versions. MoreĀ information’sĀ about this update you can find on official Google Voice Search blog.
