If it is usually the dealers who prematurely reveal new products before their formalization, and this time it is a manufacturer directly. The Acer Finnish division actually referenced the “Iconia W3” on its website.

The technical specifications of the little sister of Iconia W5 and W7 are thus confirmed and completed. The “Iconia W3” will have a LCD screen of 8.1 inches with a WXGA resolution (1280 x 800 pixels). It will run Windows 8 Pro, not Windows RT and host to the Intel Atom Z2760 processor, a double heart Hyper-Threading clocked at 1.8 GHz.

This will be combined with 2 GB of RAM and 32 or 64GB of internal memory, expandable by microSD. We also find a back sensor of 2 megapixel supporting Full HD filming and a front sensor with definition still unknown. Finally, the connectors include Wi-Fi N, Bluetooth 4.0, micro USB 2.0 and micro HDMI. Battery confer autonomy up to 8h.

We still dont know the price and launch date of the Acer Iconia W3. We know only that it will be “the first Windows 8 tablet with 8 inch screen” but the only date that is available at this stage is the month of June.
